Get Affiliates to Promote Your Products
June 12, 2008
Do you like the idea of other websites promoting and selling your products. E-junkie allows you to setup your own affiliate program, which website/blog owners can join. When they direct customers to your products and the customers make a purchase, you give the affiliates a percentage of the cost.
How to create your own affiliate program
- Join E-Junkie (free one week trial, then US$5 per month)
- If you haven’t already, add your products with pricing etc
- Go to View/Edit/Delete Product
- Select a product from drop down
- Click on Edit Affiliate Settings button
- Enter percentage you want the affiliate to get for each sale
- Tick to allow people to buy direct from the shopping cart (they don’t go to your website so don’t get the chance to see/order your other products)
- Tick Hop link – Paste the web address from your website product page here (affiliates then point people to your website for more info)
Stock Photos for Your Website
June 4, 2008
I just bought the kiwi photo on the right from Fotolia for only $2!
The Fotolia Website has an amazing selection of website icons, illustrations and photos for web use for only $2 each. Compared to most royalty-free photos, this price is unbelievable.
So if you are looking for a way to make your website more professional and your product or service more vibrant and exciting, this is a really cost-effective way to go about it.
How It Works
- Visit the Fotolia website…
- Type your search phrase into the search box at the top or view images by category
- To buy an image, open an account for free.
- Buy credits ($10 minimum) to use for your photo purchases. ($2 = 2 credits)
- Select the photo you like
- Select the size of photo you need (for websites this is usually the smallest option)
- Click on the download button.
- You can download images directly or email them to yourself
- You can also add images to your lightbox if you’re just browsing, then go back and look at them in more detail later.
- Your credits are valid for a year from purchase.
