Showing your latest Facebook Business page updates on your MailChimp email newsletter means that your valuable tips and conversations reach your loyal newsletter subscribers and customers on your mailing list instead of being lost.
You add extra value to your newsletter and give subscribers a reason to click through to your Facebook page and hopefully get involved in the conversation.
The Facebook updates section will show what is on your Facebook page at the exact time your newsletter sends so you can be very strategic about what you add prior to this time.

Send Posts to Multiple Twitter Accounts
June 27, 2011
As well as sending your WordPress posts to your company twitter account automatically, the Wordtwit Pro plugin allows your blog authors to also send their posts to their own twitter accounts so you can tweet one post many times.
WordTwit Pro also lets you customise the wording on your tweet, add hashtags and even schedule when the tweet should send. This means you can publish your post at anytime but make sure the tweet linking to your post doesn’t go out until first thing in the morning when your followers are checking their accounts. You can publish as many times as you like and even tweet old posts.
NOTE: Only the paid version ($39) lets you publish to multiple accounts.
Keep reading to find out how to setup WordTwit Pro to send to one or multiple Twitter Accounts.

How to Get a Facebook Username
May 15, 2011
Once you get 25 fans on your Facebook business page, you can get a proper username.
This means that instead of having a string of letters and numbers in your Facebook address, you can just have www.Facebook.com/businessname. So much easier for people to remember and looks way better when listed on business cards and in email signatures. If you’re running a special promotion via facebook, you can promote your address without needing a full sized banner ad.

Facebook Forms for E-News & Competitons
April 29, 2011
If you have a Facebook business page, you can add a MailChimp signup form so people can signup to your email newsletter directly from Facebook. This also gives you the option to link your email campaigns so they are automatically posted to your Facebook business page (not your personal profile!) everytime you publish an email newsletter. This combination of social media is a fantastic and professional way to run a special Facebook competition or promotion with customised signup form, autoresponders and more.
You can see my signup form by going to the Creative Web Ideas Facebook page and clicking on the email newsletter tab (you’ll see the MailChimp monkey too) on the left.
Keep reading to find out how to: add the MailChimp app to your business page, link your signup form to your newsletter list, customise your signup form and link your campaigns for auto posting on Facebook. It’s a bit of a long process but if you follow these instructions, you’ll have it all setup in no time.

Embed YouTube Videos in WordPress
April 16, 2011
WordPress makes it easy to embed YouTube videos in a Page/Post as well as in a widgetized section like your sidebar or homepage.
However, if you don’t do it the right way your video code will probably disappear completely the next time you go to edit your page. You can also create a YouTube playlist (a collection of video clips) and embed this on your website.

Flickr Photos in Website Design
September 19, 2010
Flickr is a photo sharing website which when integrated with WordPress adds a new dimension to your website layout.

Flickr photos from Orbis users on the Orbis website homepage.
As you add new photos to your Flickr account, they appear in the designated spot on your pages and keep your website looking fresh and interesting. Using the flickrRSS plugin means you can have your most recent Flickr images displaying across your homepage, in your website banner, in your sidebar or any other location on your website. I use Flickr to display screenshots of all the websites I’ve designed (see latest in my right sidebar) so it isn’t just limited to photos, although photos of local places on a tourism related website looks fantastic.
