The Genesis Simple Edits plugin makes it easy to add information to or customize the following sections of your Genesis website:
- the footer credits (the line of text at the very bottom of your website which usually includes copyright, company name, login button etc)
- the post info/byline (the line of text directly under a post title which usually includes author, date, time and number of comments)
- The post meta section (the line of text directly under a post listing the tags and categories associated with that post)
In this tutorial, you will learn:
- How to setup your footer with company name, email and login link
- How to customize the details under each post
- How to customize or delete details after each post
- How to delete theme icons (little clock, calendar etc)
- How show or hide post details in a featured post widget
This tutorial is only relevant if your WordPress site is built on the Genesis Framework and your active theme is a Genesis child theme.
