Blog Posts While on Holiday
January 31, 2008 ·
You probably guessed from the long stretch with no blog posts, that I have been on holiday. Five weeks at the beach in a caravan (see view on left) with the most amazing january weather Auckland has seen for years. If only there had been Broadband internet access, I might have been tempted to stay there forever.
What I should have done was to future date a few blog posts before I left so that my “words of wisdom” would have appeared automatically on my blog every week or so while I was sunning myself and relaxing. Here’s how…
Future Date Your Blog Posts
When you write a new blog post, you will notice a blue bar titled Post Timestamp on the right side of the page. Click on the + symbol to expand the box and enter details of the date you wish your post to be published to your blog. Hit Publish when you have finished writing your post and you’re done.
This also works well with the Post Notification Plugin which automatically sends customers on your mailing list an email when you write a new post. I’ll be writing about this brilliant plugin next week.
See more photos of New Zealand Beach Living on my Flickr badge at the bottom of my right sidebar. More on how to do this later.
