Allow Customers to Write a Message

This is great for gift purchases where customers might write a birthday message to be sent with their gift or for gifts personalised with names and/or messages.

Instructions for adding this functionality to your WP E-Commerce checkout.

1. Login to your WordPress website and click on the E-Commerce button
2. Click on Settings in the submenu, then Checkout.
3. Add the bottom of the list of checkout fields, click on Add New Form Field.
4. Give your field a name and select Text Area in the drop-down box under type.
5. Change the order of the fields if necessary.
6. Click on Save Changes at ther bottom.

Include How to Order Instructions

In both cases above make sure you make it clear on your website that people will be able to upload photos and write custom messages when they go to check out. A “How to Order” heading with bullet points on each product page never goes astray.
