Att: Kiwis – Change Website Time

This post is for all my kiwi (New Zealand) subscribers.

When daylight savings ended last week, you all put your clocks back but your website will stay on summertime unless you manually change it.

Change Your the Time on Your WordPress Website

1. Login to your website administration.
2. Go to Settings
3. On the General page, half way down is a box called Timezone.
4. Select UTC + 12 from the drop-down list.
5. Click on Save Settings button at the bottom of the page.

Why Should I Bother?
If you’re sending email newsletters when you write posts, your newsletters will send an hour later than you want them to send. Posts will display having been written at a different time and future dated posts will send at the wrong time. Some wordpress layouts display the current date and time on the homepage so it just wouldn’t be a good look.
