Case Study: Use Alerts to Get Traffic

A few weeks ago, I was planning a family trip to Taranaki and put an update on my Twitter page.

Heading to Taranaki for a few days. Anyone have ideas on fun stuff to do there (with kids)?

Almost immediately, I got a Twitter reply from Taranakinz (twitter.com/Taranaki_NZ) about school holiday programmes at the museum (see below).

It sounded perfect so I immediately clicked on the link in their tweet and had a look at what was on as well as visiting http://www.taranaki.info from their Twitter page.

Turn Visitors into Followers and Customers

Answering questions, making suggestions and adding valuable content to your Twitter page goes a long way to establishing you as an expert and making you the first port of call for up-to-date info on any given topic.

Most people you reply to on Twitter can’t resist at least clicking on your Twitter name to see what else you tweet about.

Once there, chances are they will start following you, retweeting you and hopefully visiting your website to purchase your products/services.
